Suzuki Speech Therapy provides the following speech and language therapy services
Parent Consultation
A comprehensive specialized consultations and recommendations regarding your child’s development.
Evaluation
An individualized assessment to determine if there are any difficulties in the areas of speech, language, and communication.
Speech Therapy
An intervention service that focuses on improving your child’s speech, language, and/or communication abilities.
Teletherapy
Speech therapy provided by the certified and highly qualified therapist via a secure video connection

【Target area】
＊Articulation problems: Making errors in speech sounds and having trouble speaking clearly.
＊Fluency problems: Trouble speaking fluently.
＊Language problems: Having difficulty understanding what they hear (receptive language) and using words to express their ideas and thoughts (expressive language).
＊Literacy difficulties: Having trouble reading, spelling, and writing.
＊Social communication problems: Having trouble communicating with others in ways that are socially appropriate.
＊Please know that the fee schedule for the families living outside of Japan is different from the one for the families living in Japan due to overhead fee.
Parent Consultation
Parent Consultation is a service provided to parents who are interested in specialized consultations regarding their child(ren)’s speech/language development. They will be provided recommendations regarding what types of speech-language services they should be seeking. This may include activities/resources that they can try with their child(ren) at home.
Meeting Attendance
Meeting Attendance is a service provided to families who request support in school-related meetings, such as IEP meetings and parent-teacher conferences. The speech-language pathologist will attend these meetings to provide professional input regarding the child’s speech and language development, assist with communication among team members, and help ensure that the child’s needs are effectively addressed.
Fee
Online Consultation or Online Meeting Attendance: 4,000 JPY (4,400 JPY with tax) per 30 minutes for families in Japan; 40.00 USD per 30 minutes for families outside of Japan
In-Person Consultation: 5,000 JPY (5,500 JPY with tax) per 30 minutes
In-Person Meeting Attendance: 5,000 JPY (5,500 JPY with tax) per 30 minutes plus travel fee (100 JPY per km)
Speech/Language Evaluation
Length
45 – 90 minutes (It may vary based on a child’s needs, age, and other factors.)
Monolingual Speech/Language Evaluation & Report: 30,000 JPY (33,000 JPY with tax) for families in Japan; 250.00 USD for families outside of Japan
English/Japanese Bilingual Speech/Language Evaluation & Report: : 55,000 JPY (60,400 JPY with tax) for families in Japan; 450.00 USD for families outside of Japan
Speech Therapy (In-person)
Therapy sessions will be provided based on the evaluation results and evidenced based treatment plan.
Fee
45-minute session: 12,000 JPY (13,200 JPY with tax)

＊Visit fee (round trip) will be calculated per kilometer (100 yen per kilometer).
Teletherapy
Teletherapy sessions will be provided via a secure video connection.
Fee
30-minute session : 6,000 JPY (6,600 JPY with tax) for families in Japan; 50.00 USD for families outside of Japan
45-minute session: 9,000 JPY (9,900 JPY with tax) for families in Japan; 75.00 USD for families outside of Japan
