Frequently Asked Questions:
Are your services covered by Japan's National Health?
Unfortunately, they are not. However, I can provide you with an invoice with the necessary information (e.g., diagnosis, description of services provided, fees paid) to submit to your company or you insurance company. You will also be provided with evaluation and therapy progress reports to submit to your company or your insurance company with the invoice.
What can I expect as a result of my child’s speech language evaluation?
About a week subsequent to the evaluation date you will receive a comprehensive speech-language evaluation report including your child’s performance on the evaluation tasks, his/her strengths and weaknesses, recommendations, and treatment goals and objectives.
Is teletherapy right for my child?
Teletherapy has been approved by American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) as an effective method of service delivery and the therapist is highly trained and experienced in the area of teletherapy. However, the therapist can also provide in-person therapy if you feel that teletherapy is not a good fit for your child.
How long will my child attend speech therapy?
Every child is unique and a number of factors will contribute to the therapy duration that your child needs such as type and level of difficulties, existence of additional support, family involvement, and child’s motivation. The therapist will provide you a therapy progress report in every 10 therapy sessions. Then, the family and the therapist will discuss the progress and determine if your child will continue to receive the therapy services.
