It is always fun AND important for kids to learn about the community helpers!
I created a new material that uses a community helpers theme to address a variety of language skills.
Community Helpers Language Packet
Included:
1. Who Am I?
This part includes 16 “Community Helpers” picture cards and 16 “Job Description” cards.
2. Which Vehicle Do I Drive?
Occupations & vehicles matching activity: Students will match the vehicle that goes along with the occupation.
3. What Tool Do I Use?
Occupations & tools matching activity: Students will match the tool that goes along with the occupation.
4. Where Am I?
Occupations & places matching activity: Students will match the place that goes along with the occupation.
5. Same & Different
This part includes 6 same/different worksheets: Use a Venn diagram to help your students to understand similarities and differences between the two community helpers.
6. When I Grow Up…
Students will illustrate and write about what they want to be when they grow up.
